If you can afford to wait four to six weeks for regular processing of passport then you don't to rush. As much as you have the time dreaming about a perfect holiday, regular passport processing also gives you the time to prepare all the documents needed such as photo identification cards, birth certificate and marriage license. You are also required to submit passport size photographs and pay for the standard non-refundable application fee.

Most people fear about cancelling their holiday when they find out the need for an immediate passport. Well, there is no need to stop dreaming about brilliant holidays when you can get a passport as easy and as quick as the same day application. All you need is knowing what you can do and you're good to go!

Expedited Passport Processing

When you are bound for a vacation in less than two weeks, you can either submit an application at a regional passport agency or contract a private expediter to process the application for you. If you go with the first option, you are likely to get your passport in one day. All you have to do is contact the regional agency and set up an appointment. Then, you will go through a security check. You will have to submit the application form together with the other requirements. Once the documents have been verified and payments are made, you will be given a date or time to pick up your passport.

If you are too busy talking about holidays with friends or in a rush to complete a task at the office and are not able to personally submit your passport application at the regional agency, then you may apply through a private expediting service. The process is pretty easy. Just fill out the application form and send it along with other supporting documents to the expediter. However, you have to keep in mind that expedited passport processing does come with addition costs.
